Weldon Barber is light years from the corner barbershop, with its deep leather chairs, scalp and neck massages and facial-hair waxing. The Spokane company hopes to tap into a nationwide surge in sales of men’s grooming products and services with six area locations that all will be open by the end of this month.

After that, with the financial backing of Bill Nordstrom — yes, that Nordstrom — Weldon Barber hopes to conquer other major markets across the West.
