Big Brothers Big Sisters: Volunteers needed to act as community-based mentors of individual children for two to four hours a week. Volunteers are matched with children. Call Ruth, 667-0975.

North Idaho College Adult Basic Education Center needs volunteers to work with individual assigned students one to two hours a week at either the Post Falls or Coeur d’Alene Center. Generally this is basic tutoring. Phone Kim Cheeley, 676-8005.
St. Vincent de Paul: Volunteers needed to help with Art on the Edge, thrift store, wrapping or delivering Christmas donations, rides, mentoring homeless families, youth activities, and legal workshops. Please phone Dot, volunteer coordinator, 676-8619.
Kootenai Humane Society: Volunteers needed at the Hayden facility for dog walking, dog bathing, thrift store duties, maintenance and repair, foster care, fund-raising and miscellaneous duties. Flexible hours. Call Jackie, 818-4535.
Post Falls Hospice Thrift Shop: Volunteers needed for general duties. Men are encouraged to apply. Three-hour shifts once a week, Monday through Saturday Phone 772-7994 or 773-8534 and ask for Joanne.
