Area chefs, cooks, students invited to ACF information meeting, barbecue

The local chapter of the American Culinary Federation Chefs de Cuisine is hosting an information meeting and barbecue next Wednesday for area chefs, cooks and culinary arts students.

The Inland Northwest ACF chefs are trying to recruit more members to the professional organization. It will be an opportunity to meet and network with other regional chefs and cooks, as well as learn more about a membership with the local ACF Chefs de Cuisine, said Chef Gene Fritz, director of Washington State University’s School of Hospitality and Business Management.

The barbecue will be held on the WSU Spokane campus starting at 3 p.m. The presentation begins at 4 p.m.
