Name: Peggy Colwell

Occupation: Interior decorator. She has been in this profession since the 1970s. She enjoys fabric and color, and she designs furnishings as well as custom window treatments. She owns Cache Interior Design in the Old City Hall building on Sherman Avenue, and has been there one and one half years.

Family: Her mom in Spokane.

Pets: Two little fur balls – cats named Audrey, a 31/2-year-old part Maine coon, and Annie, a 11/2-year-old tabby.

Hobbies: One of the good things about her profession is that it is a hobby. She also likes to cook and entertain. She has had a huge Academy Awards party every year for 30 years, where her guests dress up and they critique everything – clothes, hair, shoes, you name it!

Peggy also loves classic and silent films. Her mom let her stay home from school when Clark Gable died. She enjoys reading history; her education was in Western Civilization.

Favorite movie: “Gone with the Wind.”

Musical preference: Jazz. She loves Ella Fitzgerald.

Favorite food: Mediterranean and French.

Other: She grew up in a politically active family, and so is very political.

Plans for winter: To be very, very busy with her business and to take a few days to visit a friend in Scottsdale, Ariz.
