Outdoor Pursuits plans kayak/canoe trip

Outdoors enthusiasts are encouraged to participate in the North Idaho College Outdoor Pursuits overnight kayak/canoe trip to the Chain Lakes, near Harrison, Aug. 26 and 27. The trip will teach participants how to plan and implement a multiday camping excursion by kayak or canoe.

All participants will be required to attend a pre-trip meeting at 7 p.m. Aug. 22 on the NIC Beach.

The cost of the trip is $30 if the participant has his or her own watercraft or $60 for those who want to rent a boat from Outdoor Pursuits. The cost includes other equipment, transportation and instruction.
