2006 shaping up as second best in history

November closed home sales in Spokane were 614 compared to 638 homes with new owners in October. Year-to-date figures show that the average sales price in November was down somewhat, according to figures supplied by the Spokane Association of REALTORS® Multiple Listing Service.

Average price for the closed sales reported in November was $197,319, off from the average price in October of $208,730.

With one month left in 2006, it appears that this year will be the second best year in Spokane history. The average and median sales prices on a year-to-date basis are up 15 percent and 17.4 percent, respectively, from the same period in 2005.

New home sales reported are up 5 percent on a year-to-date basis. The average closed sales price for newly built homes was $293,270.
