The Spokesman-Review

The eighth annual Spokane Golf Show, featuring equipment and clothing exhibits and free seminars by PGA member Ron Hanson, will be held this weekend in the Spokane Convention Center.

Tickets for the event, which runs Saturday (10 a.m.-6 p.m.) and Sunday (10 a.m.-4 p.m.), are $8 for adults and are available at all TicketWest outlets and www.spokanegolfshow.com. Children younger than 12 are free.

According to event organizer Tom Stebbins, everyone at the show will receive two free rounds – one from Dominion Meadow Golf Course in Colville, and the other from a list of courses that includes Deer Park, Priest Lake, Cascade, Twin Lakes, Columbia Point, Kokanee Springs, Meadow Lake Prairie Falls, Stoneridge and Sun Dance.

Hanson, the director of instruction at Interbay Golf Center in Seattle, will do seminars throughout the day. The show will also include a hitting net at which consumers can try out equipment, along with numerous vacation prizes, golf-getaway ideas and a PGA Clubs for Kids Program promotion through which a free club will be given to the first 1,000 children younger than 12 who enter the show.
