Food service training planned

The Spokesman-Review

The Spokane Regional Health District will host its third-annual training for food service operators on Monday.

The workshop will cover all of the regulations food service workers must know, including the year-old changes in food safety laws. Participants will learn what inspectors look for and how to avoid the most common pitfalls during inspections.

The Spokane Regional Health District gives out 2,200 permits for food service establishments in Spokane County and issues some 14,000 food worker cards each year.

The free workshop will be from 1:30 to 4 p.m. in the Lair Auditorium at Spokane Community College. Registration is required by Friday. Call 324-1560, ext. 2.
