Morrison’s 26 in second half leads Bobcats

Adam Morrison scored 26 points – all in the second half – to help the Charlotte Bobcats rally from a 17-point deficit to beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 100-95 on Wednesday night in Minneapolis.

Morrison, a rookie forward from Gonzaga, overcame a 0-for-5 first half, finishing 10 for 19.

He scored 13 consecutive points for Charlotte late in the fourth quarter.

His 3-pointer started the streak and brought the Bobcats to within 88-87 with 4:52 left, and his runner from the baseline with just more than a minute remaining gave Charlotte a 97-90 advantage.

Spurs 103, Hawks 96: At Atlanta, Manu Ginobili scored a season-high 40 points, including 24 straight for San Antonio in the first half, and Tim Duncan had 30 in a win over Atlanta.

Cavaliers 86, Raptors 85: At Toronto, LeBron James scored 29 points, and Anderson Varejao dunked a missed shot with 16 seconds left to lift Cleveland to a victory over the Raptors.

76ers 104, Knicks 84: At Philadelphia, Kyle Korver made six 3-pointers and matched a season high with 31 points to lead the 76ers to a victory over New York.

Pistons 110, Magic 88: At Auburn Hills, Mich., Chris Webber and Richard Hamilton each scored 18 points, and Detroit beat Orlando.

Dwight Howard recorded 26 points and 15 rebounds for the Magic in their sixth straight road loss.

Rockets 112, Heat 102: At Houston, Tracy McGrady scored 32 points to lead the Rockets to a victory over Miami, which had Pat Riley back on the bench.

Pacers 136, Bucks 129 (2OT): At Indianapolis, Jermaine O’Neal had 29 points and 15 rebounds to help Indiana outlast Milwaukee in double overtime.

Warriors 118, Grizzlies 115 (OT): At Oakland, Calif., Monta Ellis scored nine of his 22 points in a frantic overtime, and Golden State survived Mike Miller’s franchise-record 45-point performance for a victory over Memphis.

Suns 118, Celtics 108: At Phoenix, Leandro Barbosa scored 14 of his 26 points in the fourth quarter and the Suns held off Boston.

Trail Blazers 112, Lakers 108: At Los Angeles, Jarrett Jack scored 30 points and Portland beat the Lakers, giving Los Angeles its sixth loss in a row.

Hornets 111, Nets 107: At East Rutherford, N.J., David West scored a season-high 32 points and Chris Paul added 19 points and 11 assists to lead New Orleans to a victory over the Nets.

The Hornets overcame a season-high 46 points from Vince Carter, who along with teammate Jason Kidd has been the subject of persistent trade rumors as today’s 3 p.m. trade deadline approaches.

Dwayne Wade left Miami’s game against Houston in the fourth quarter with a dislocated left shoulder. At least one report speculated that the injury could keep him out for up to six weeks. … Jason Kidd was in the starting lineup against the New Orleans Hornets, his first action since missing three games with a back injury. … Detroit Pistons center Chris Webber left the game against the Orlando Magic with a scratched left cornea. … Cleveland Cavaliers General Manager Danny Ferry has eyed Sacramento Kings point guard Mike Bibby for weeks, and the team stepped up its efforts to put together a deal for him during the past 48 hours. The Kings’ main target on the Cavaliers’ roster is Drew Gooden.
