Cubs 4, Dodgers 2: At Los Angeles, Aramis Ramirez and Mark DeRosa hit back-to-back home runs top help lift Chicago to a victory over the Dodgers.

Phillies 6, Braves 4: At Atlanta, Chase Utley drove in three runs, Shane Victorino had three hits and Philadelphia beat the Braves to give the Phillies a winning record for the first time this season.

Mets 7, Marlins 2: At Miami, Carlos Delgado ended a long power drought with two home runs and five RBIs, giving pitcher John Maine plenty of support and leading New York past Florida.

Pirates 9, Reds 5: At Cincinnati, Xavier Nady hit a three-run homer during a disastrous four-run first inning by right-hander Bronson Arroyo, leading Pittsburgh over the Reds.

Rockies 6, Giants 1: At San Francisco, Aaron Cook pitched a five-hitter, Willy Taveras had a pair of bunt singles and Matt Holliday hit a two-run single and had three RBIs in Colorado’s victory over the Giants.

Cardinals 8, Nationals 6: At St. Louis, Jim Edmonds had two hits and three RBIs, helping the Cardinals beat Washington after a 1-hour, 41-minute rain delay with two outs in the top of the ninth inning.

Diamondbacks 5, Astros 4: At Phoenix, Brandon Webb limited Houston to two runs through seven innings and Arizona held on to hand the Astros a loss. Webb struck out eight and walked one.

Padres 6, Brewers 3: At San Diego, Mike Cameron hit a two-run homer and Jose Cruz Jr. had a solo shot to carry Justin Germano and the Padres to a win over Milwaukee.
