Rich not always richer
I would like to give my whole-hearted congratulations to the New York Yankees for throwing some of their inexhaustible millions in the direction of the preening Alex Rodriguez.
Now I don’t have to worry about watching the Yankees and their insufferable fans gloat over another World Series victory for at least the next 10 years. The only way A-Rod ever made a team better was by leaving it, proving that a prima donna, choke-when-it-counts personality does much more harm than monster statistics can ever offset.
He’s lucky the Yankees have more money than brains. Nobody else was going to gut their budget for him. Three quality pitchers could be signed for what he will be paid, and luckily somebody else will get them. The rich don’t always get richer.
