Dragons slip past Chargers
Jordan Dickson tossed in a game-high 26 points, including 11 in the fourth quarter, and Britton Stamper’s putback basket off a Dickson miss with 3 seconds left in the game lifted the St. George’s Dragons (2-2, 1-0) to a 62-60 victory over the Springdale Chargers (2-2, 0-1) in a Panorama League opener on Saturday night in Springdale.
Chris Bossio was 12 for 12 from the free-throw line on his way to a team-high 23 points for the Chargers. Ryan Presho added 13 points and Sam Howard scored 10 for the hosts.
Selkirk 54, Republic 45: Colton Enyeart scored 12 points and Sawyer Pettis added 11 to lead the Rangers (6-0, 1-0) over the Tigers (1-3, 0-1) in a Panorama opener in Republic. Kaleb Koontz led Republic with 14 points, while Tyler Haswell and Jesse Beck chipped in with 12 points apiece.
District 9 North
LaCrosse-Washtucna 41, Pomeroy 38: Jeff Zimmer had 15 points and Ben Undercoffler hit two key baskets down the stretch to help the Tigercats (1-0, 1-0) hold off the visiting Pirates (0-1, 0-1).

Lakeside (Plummer) 37, Mullan 24: Merlin Weaslehead tallied 12 points, 10 rebounds and five steals to propel the Knights (1-3) over the Tigers (0-2) in the third-place game of the St. Regis tournament in St. Regis, Mont. Casey McKinnon paced Mullan with 13 points.
Cusick 60, Coeur d’Alene Charter Academy 50: Spencer Shanholtzer notched 23 points and eight rebounds and Tyler Edwards chipped in with 13 points and five steals to lead the Cusick Panthers (3-0) past the CdA Panthers (2-2) in Cusick. Bob Schrack finished with a double-double – 24 points, 10 rebounds – for CdA.
Newport 46, Timberlake 29: Devon Willenbrock netted 13 points to guide the Grizzlies (2-3) to a win over the visiting Tigers (2-2). Erik Weidermeir and Jeremiah Shultz scored 11 and 10, respectively, for the winners. Travis Porter scored eight for Timberlake.
Dos Pueblos (Calif.) 68, Coeur d’Alene 59: Robert Vickers tossed in 22 points and Malick Heptot scored 14 to lead the Chargers to a victory over the Vikings (1-2) in Goleta, Calif. Connor White had 19 points and four assists to lead CdA, while Connor Williams and Devon Austin scored 10 apiece.
Post Falls 68, Ellensburg 58: Shawn Reid’s double-double – 19 points, 10 rebounds – powered the Trojans (2-0) past the visiting Bulldogs. Connor Hill collected 14 points and seven rebounds, Justin Carter scored 14 and Malcolm Colbert hit 7 of 8 free throws and finished with 13 points for Post Falls.
Chewelah 70, Valley Christian 42: Forest Trampush led all scorers with 20 points and Stryker Smith and Dallas Garner scored 17 and 11, respectively, to help the Cougars (3-1) rout the host Panthers (0-3). Jamie Bennett paced VC with 17 points, while Jeff Pope scored 10.
Northwest Christian 52, Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls) 37: Paul Huffman had a double-double – 15 points, 10 rebounds – and Chase Ramey added 10 points to propel the Crusaders (4-0) past the visiting Eagles (4-1) in a battle of unbeaten teams. Jacob Hilsabeck topped Lakeside with 12 points.
Almira/Coulee-Hartline 86, Kittitas 50: Cody Jess had 16 points, Quade Henderson scored 14 and Garret Jess and Kyler Tucker added 13 points apiece to help the Warriors (3-0) beat the visiting Coyotes.
Medical Lake 47, Lakeland 40: Ray Erwin hit four 3-pointers en route to 28 points and the Cardinals (2-1) held off the host Hawks (1-3). Caleb Geurber scored 17 to lead Lakeland.
Pendleton (Ore.) 66, Clarkston 50: Spencer Sundin poured in 27 points and the Buckaroos rolled over the visiting Bantams (1-3). Dustin McConnell topped Clarkston with 14 points.
Lewiston 57, Pullman 42: Ryan Strong scored 17 and the Bengals (4-0) outscored the visiting Greyhounds (0-2) by 17 in the first half en route to the victory. Jaime Fertakis led Pullman with 18 points.
Caribou Trail League
Chelan 77, Lake Roosevelt 56: Joey Harris had a triple-double – 25 points, 13 rebounds, 10 assists – to power the visiting Goats to a win over the Raiders, who were led by Cade Egbert’s 14 points.
Postponements
Panorama League games Inchelium at Northport and Curlew at Wellpinit were postponed and rescheduled for Jan. 3. Columbia at St. Michael’s was postponed but no makeup date was announced.
Other games postponed with no makeup date announced were: Touchet at St. John-Endicott, Moscow at Bonners Ferry, Soap Lake at Odessa, Rosalia at Tri-Cities Prep, Colton at Sprague-Harrington.
Columbia Burbank at Lind-Ritzville was canceled.
