Williams sisters will meet in final
Five years since their last title matchup, the Williams sisters are back in the Wimbledon final with another Grand Slam championship – and family bragging rights – at stake.
The sisters won in straight sets Thursday to set up their seventh all-sibling final at a major and third at the All England Club.
Defending champion and four-time winner Venus (above left) beat Elena Dementieva 6-1, 7-6 (3), then two-time champ Serena (above right) overcame two rain delays and served 14 aces to down China’s Zheng Jie 6-2, 7-6 (5).
It will be the first all-Williams final at any tournament since 2003, when Serena beat her older sister in the Wimbledon title match for the second year in a row. Serena will be going for her ninth Grand Slam title; Venus her seventh.

Moss buys NASCAR team
All-Pro receiver Randy Moss is now a NASCAR team owner, announcing he’s purchased 50 percent of a Truck Series team.
Randy Moss Motorsports will make its debut on July 19 at Kentucky Speedway with Willie Allen driving the No. 81 Chevrolet. The number was changed from 46 to reflect Moss’ NFL jersey number.
Moss has been eyeing entering NASCAR for some time, but said he decided to buy half of Morgan-Dollar Motorsports rather than build a team from the ground up. Moss wants the team to eventually move up to the premier Sprint Cup Series.

Rodriguez split leads to rumors
Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez and his wife have split less than three months after the birth of the couple’s second daughter, according to a report in the New York Daily News.
The story on the newspaper’s Web site comes amid reports linking Rodriguez to Madonna. Rodriguez refused to address the topic on three occasions Tuesday, once saying “no” when asked if he had any comment.
The Daily News reported Wednesday night, citing an anonymous source, that Rodriguez and wife Cynthia had separated after having “problems” for about three months.
Cynthia Rodriguez’s mother, Evangeline Scurtis, also denied a gossip Web site report that her daughter had gone on a romantic getaway with rocker Lenny Kravitz in Paris.
Kravitz issued a statement of denial Thursday.
The couple were married in November 2002 and have two children, Natasha Alexander and Ella Alexander, who was born April 21.
