New market opens

The new Latah Creek Variety Market will be held beginning Saturday and Sunday and on selected dates this summer.

More than 70 vendors will be selling homegrown fruits, flowers, vegetables and spices, along with antiques, crafts, artwork and home décor items in the Latah Plaza, just off Highway 195, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays. There also will be a pancake feed, a children’s cakewalk, arts and crafts, live entertainment and food and drinks for sale.

The market also will be held on July 20, Aug. 17, Sept. 20-21,

From Spokane on Interstate 90, take exit 279 south onto Highway 195, then travel about 2.5 miles to the intersection of Cheney-Spokane Road. There will be free parking. A suggested donation of $2 per person will benefit the Children’s Miracle Network.
