Oregon at Washington

KICKOFF: 12:30 p.m. at Seattle, Husky Stadium

Records: Oregon 5-1, 3-0 Pac-10; UW 3-4, 2-2

TV/Radio: ABC/1280-AM

Overview: There are three keys for the Huskies today as they take on conference-leading Oregon. 1, Contain. Oregon’s system is based on misdirection, so the Huskies will be in big trouble if they over-pursue on defense. 2, Establish a ground game. It won’t be easy against Oregon’s stout defense, so the Huskies might have to try to loosen things up by letting QB Jake Locker run around. If Locker breaks a few early, that could give RB Chris Polk some running lanes and allow the Huskies to re-establish the ground game for the first time in three weeks. 3, Be amnesiacs. Recent history has not been kind to the Huskies in this rivalry, so coach Steve Sarkisian’s “clean slate” mantra should be used. Nothing about the past five games of this rivalry gives evidence that UW can stay with the Ducks.
