Free sweets giveaway to benefit EWU library

Sweet treats – all with literary themes – await the public on May 26 at the annual Books2Eat edible book festival sponsored by the Eastern Washington University Friends of the Library.

The free all-you-can-eat event takes place from 2 to 5 p.m. in the JFK Library lobby on the EWU campus in Cheney.

This is a just-for-fun, end-of-the-year activity in which faculty, staff, students and members of the public make and submit something tasty to eat (not needing refrigeration) – all items bearing a literary theme – and have the items judged for prizes by the hungry attendees. Prizes are awarded for most creative, my favorite and best represents the title.
