RECORD: 12-4 overall, 2-2 Pac-10
COMING UP: Tonight at Cal, 7:30 p.m.; Saturday at Stanford, 5 p.m.
OUTLOOK: Although the Bears (8-7, 1-2) are the defending Pac-10 champions, they don’t look, or play, much like last year’s team. Cal is much more inside-oriented this season and it starts with Harper Kamp. The 6-foot-8 junior, who missed last season with injuries, is averaging a team-leading 13.1 points per game. His running mate inside, 6-7, 265-pound Markhuri Sanders-Frison, clears the glass, with 8.2 rebounds per game. Since freshman Aaron Bright moved into the stating lineup at the point, and Jarrett Mann slipped over to the shooting guard spot, Stanford (9-5, 2-1) is 3-1. Bright has a 2.4 assist-to-turnover ratio.
