Shannon A.
(Age 41)

of Seattle, WA, passed away unexpectedly from heart disease November 1, 2011.

In high school, she enjoyed playing tennis and dancing in drill team.

She graduat-ed with honors from West Valley High School in Spokane, Washington in 1988.

She graduated Cum Laude/Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Washington in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications/Public Relations.

She had a very intelligent mind with an unbelievable memory.

She founded a successful business in public relations in San Francisco in 1997.

Her career in public relations took her all around the world including England, Australia, Boston, San Francisco, and Seattle.

In her spare time, she loved traveling around the world staying in youth hostels, meeting new people, and tracing back her family history.

Most recently, Shannon took interest in child development and child care.

She had a special place in her heart for children, especially her nieces and nephews.

She had a passion and gift of photography that was displayed in cards and wall art.

She also enjoyed designing jewelry, journaling/ writing, making lists, long conversations, and a good glass of wine.

She was also a very faithful U of W Husky fan ‘Go Huskies!’.

In her travels after college, Shannon saw and did more things in a short span of time than most of us could ever dream of.

She was driven to make the most of her lifetime.

She is survived by her grandmother Helen, mother, sister Patti (Tyson), sister Laura (Jim), brother Michael (Meghan), nieces Katie, Sadie, Avery, Capri, nephews Aidan, Finn and many other family members.

She was preceeded in death by her father and dear friend, Michael along with her grandparents Del, Ronnie, and Pat.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 25th in Portland, OR.
