O’REILLY, Marian D. (Forst)

Went on to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on March 1, 2012 in her home with her family by her side.

Marian was born the eldest of four children to Ed and Anna Forst in Crete, Nebraska on August 7, 1924.

She was commissioned a 2nd Lt. in the US Army Nurse Corps 1945 and served briefly overseas as an Army nurse.

She met the love of her life, Joseph Ward O’Reilly after WWII while both were studying in Omaha Nebraska.

They were married on September 4, 1948 in Omaha and moved to Spokane to start their family.

Marian was a hard worker and fully gave herself to her God, marriage and family.

She was an excellent homemaker was known especially for her tasty bakery goods and homemade soups.

She continued working as a nurse as time allowed and touched many lives with her tender care.

She will be immensely missed by her surviving family of eight children, 19 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren and countless relatives and friends.

She was a parishioner at St. Marys Catholic Parish for over 50 years.

Marian was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Ward; brothers Leon Forst and Eddie Forst.

She is survived by her sister, Rosalie Roy; her eight children, Elizabeth A Dalager; Bridget E (Fred) Freeman, Thomas J. O’Reilly (San Diego CA); Mary K. Thompson; Terrance B. O’Reilly (Post Falls, ID); Patrick J. O’Reilly; Maureen D. (Dan) Schilter (Silver Lake, WA) and William E. (Jeri) O’Reilly.

Funeral services to be held on Sunday, March 18th at 3:00pm at Spokane Dream Center (2128 N. Pines Rd.

Spokane Valley, WA).
