Obituary: Smith, Dorothy A. (Burrill)

(Burrill) (Age 83) Dorothy A. Smith passed away January 22, 2014 in Spokane Valley, WA.

She was born April 7, 1930 in Spokane and was a lifetime area resident.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Laura Burrill of Spokane Valley; son, Roger Burrill (Kim) of Spokane; foster son, Gary Burrill (Flossie) of Millwood; sister-in-law, Betty Paul of Spokane Valley; four grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and a large extended family.

She was preceded in death by husbands, Ray Burrill (1986) and Homer Smith (2004).

Dorothy worked 28 years for Modern Electric Water, Co., retiring after 28 years there.

She was a longtime member of the Valley Church of the Nazarene, and a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Order of the Amaranth.

Dorothy was always active.

Over the years she especially enjoyed bowling and horseback riding.

More recently she enjoyed the activities at Broadway Court Estates where she resided the past three years.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Valley Church of the Nazarene, 15515 East 20th Avenue.

Private interment will be at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
