Fresh Sheet: Apple Cup burger available for limited time

Apple Cup Burger
The Elk Public House, the Two Seven Public House and Geno’s Traditional Food & Ales will pay tribute to Washington’s big college rivalry game with a special, limited-time burger.
The $15.95 Apple Cup Burger recognizes the rivalry between the Washington State University Cougars and University of Washington Huskies. It also features Washington-sourced ingredients: ground beef from Double R Ranch in Twisp, Cougar Gold cheddar from the WSU Creamery in Pullman, grilled Granny Smith apples from Wenatchee and red onions from Yakima.
The burger is served on a bun from Alpine Bakery in Spokane. It comes with a cup of Columbia Gorge lentil soup.
The special begins Friday and runs through Dec. 4. The game takes place Saturday in Pullman.

WineMakers Dinner
Priest River Hardwood Grill has announced the lineup for its fifth annual Wednesday night WineMakers Dinner series. The five-course dinner features four wines from a different winery each month through May.
Seating starts at 6 p.m. with dinner service at 6:30 p.m. There’s room for 30 guests, and reservations are recommended. Dinner costs $37.50 per person and is also available without wine for $22.50.

New buffet
Priest River Hardwood Grill is offering a new prime rib and seafood buffet on Friday nights.
The buffet is available from 4:30 to 8 p.m. for $19.95. It includes a salad bar, pasta bar and side dishes. Seafood offerings include salmon, cod, halibut, shrimp, clams, mussels and calamari rings.
