– Today’s small-batch specialty offerings are a traditional hefeweizen with hints of banana and clove at Iron Goat , and a Chocolate/Peanut Butter Porter (6.8 percent alcohol by volume) at Daft Badger in Coeur d’Alene.

– Also in CdA, Crafted Tap House has a pint night with Waddell’s on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. featuring the Spokane brewery’s Punxsutawney Pilsner, Barkeep Bavarian Wheat, Fireman’s Amber, Left Hook IPA and the limited-release barrel-aged Imperial Oatmeal Stout.

A look ahead at the upcoming week in local beer:

– Orlison is scheduled to open its downtown Spokane taproom Friday in the space formerly occupied by Luxe Coffee House at 1017 W. First Ave.

Zythum Brewing in Fairfield will have happy hour prices all day Friday plus cake to celebrate brewer/owner Shawn Carney’s birthday.

– Sixteen local and regional brewers are participating in the third annual Ales For the Trail festival Saturday from 2 to 8 p.m. at McEuen Park in Coeur d’Alene, along with live music and food. Admission is $30, which includes six 5-ounce pours; proceeds support the Centennial Trail.

– The Silver Mountain Brewsfest , Saturday starting at 1 p.m. at the Kellogg ski area, will feature 40 beers from 20 breweries accompanied by live music from Clumsy Lovers, Civilized Animal and The Dog House Boyz. Tickets are $29.95 in advance, $34.95 at the gate.

– Boise’s Sockeye is the sponsor for the next installment of The Lantern Tap House’s summer concert series Saturday, with $4 pint specials starting at 4 p.m. and music by Windoe and Liz Rognes at 9.

– Home-based Badass Backyard Brewing in Millwood will open for the second time on Saturday from 2 to 8 p.m.
