Town hall meetings
MickDuff’s is starting 2015 with a few new wrinkles.
Beginning today, the Sandpoint brewery will host a beer release party the first Thursday of each month in its Beer Hall (pictured above; that’s the tasting room down the street and around the corner from the original pub).
It starts at 6 p.m. with a pilot batch of a sessionably mellow, roasty Dry Stout. Pints are $2.50, or you can get a flight of three 5-ounce dark beers – Dry Stout, the seasonal, barrel-aged Imperial Bourbon Stout (brewed with molasses and chocolate) and the regular Knot Tree Porter – for $6.
On Tuesdays, $1 from every beer purchased at the Beer Hall after 5:30 p.m. will be donated to a local nonprofit, with trivia night continuing at 7. On Wednesdays, there will be bingo beginning at 6:30 p.m., with prizes of gift cards and merchandise; your first bingo card is free and you get more with beer and gear purchases.
And monthly Saturday cornhole tournaments kick off Jan. 10, with registration at noon and first toss at 1 p.m. Cost is $10 per team, which will be repaid as cash prizes (plus MickDuff’s will match the pot with up to $100 in gift cards). The winning team also receives mug club membership until the following month’s tourney.
While the pub is all-ages, Beer Hall admittance is 21 and older.
