Obituary: Dixon, Lillie Louise Leeper

Age 74

DIXON, Lillie Louise (Leeper) (Bond) July 22, 1940-May 20, 2015 Lillie Louise Leeper (Bond) Dixon (74) was born July 22, 1940, in Newport, WA.

Louise spent most of her growing up years in Cusick, WA where she attended Cusick High School graduating in 1958 with high honors.

After graduating from Cusick High School Louise began working for Equitable Life Assurance Society where she continued working until 1970.

On June 23, 1962 she married Harold A.

Bond, also of Cusick.

Louise joined the Air National Guard in April 1972.

She was stationed at Fairchild Air Force Base where she served for 30 years before retiring in July 2002.

Louise joined the Seventh Day Adventist Church, through baptism, in 1978 and remained a dedicated member of the Newport SDA Church until her passing.

She gave generously to Adventist education and mission trips throughout her life.

During her retirement she enjoyed traveling with friends and spending time with family.

She met Jim Dixon on a Seventh Day Adventist Heritage Tour in September 2005 and they married on December 16, 2005.

They shared a mutual love of travel and shared many adventures in such places as Alaska, Hawaii, California, Australia and China.

Louise passed away peacefully in her home on May 20, 2015 after a challenging battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

She was lovingly cared for in her last days by her husband Jim and her step-daughter Barbara.

She is survived by her husband, James ‘Jim’ Dixon; her children: Harold B.

(Sue) Bond of Pasco, WA and Christina Bond of Bismarck ND; her former husband, Harold A.

Bond of Brooksville FL; her brother Earle (Betty) Leeper; three grandsons: Alex Bond, Micah and Campbell McGill; her step-children: Bruce (Joanne) Dixon of Oregon City, OR, Bill (Janelle) Dixon of Cannes Australia and Barbara Gohl of Portland, OR; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Leeper and Elizabeth (Campbell) Griffith and numerous friends and loved ones.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Newport Seventh Day Adventist Church on July 19th at 3:00pm.

All who knew and loved Louise are welcome to attend.
