Obituary: Mellick, Joseph C.

Age 64

MELLICK, Joseph C. Joseph C. Mellick of Spokane, WA passed away unexpectedly at his home on February 25, 2015.

He was born on December 24, 1950 in Spokane, WA to Joseph E. and Julie Mellick.

Joe was drafted into the United States Army in 1970.

When he came home from boot camp he married his high school sweetheart, Bobbee and started their new life stationed in El Paso, TX.

He served the remainder of his two years in Korea.

After returning home he worked for the Milwaukee Road here in Spokane until eventually retiring from Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad in 2010.

Joe is survived by is wife of 44 years, Bobbee Mellick; his two daughters who were the center of his life, Alissa Mellick and Rebekah Mellick, both of Spokane; one brother, Robert Mellick (Sue) of Chewelah; his three grandson’s, Joseph, Jonathan and Jacob (AKA the Brus Brothers).

Joe was extremely proud of his family and alway held them close to his heart.

Joe was preceded in death by his two son’s, Brett Robert and Joseph Christopher Mellick.

It brings us great peace knowing that he is now together with his two son’s.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date for close friends and family.
