Obituary: Baker, Catherine Ann (Jacoy) “Cathy”
Age 68
Cathy was 68 when she passed away surrounded by family and loved ones.
She was the only daughter born to Robert and Barbara Jacoy on July 6, 1947 in Spokane.
Cathy graduated from Lewis & Clark High School in 1965.
She then attended Northern Pacific Dental and Med College of Portland, OR.
where she received her dental hygienist license.
Cathy worked closely with her family at P.M. Jacoy’s for over 30 years.
She loved being the “Candy Girl” and spending time with her family and friends.
Cathy fell in love with John Baker and was married on February 3, 1967.
They shared a life of love and laughter.
Cathy devoted her life to caring for her family; grandparents, parents, husband, and three children.
She always found joy in helping others and her kindness and giving nature was a blessing.
Cathy was quick to smile and laugh with you.
She enjoyed bowling, baking, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Cathy is preceded in death by her husband John and her parents: Robert and Barbara Jacoy.
She is survived by her brother and sister- in-law: Alex and Susan Jacoy (Palm Desert, CA), son: Alex Baker (Spokane), daughter: Angela Baker (Davis, CA), son and daughter-in- law: Casey and Kelly Baker (Clayton, WA), sister-in-law: Judy Baker (Spokane), and brother-in-law: Bob Baker (Seattle).
She leaves behind three grandchildren to cherish her memory: Cale and Cecilia Baker (Clayton, WA) and Carden Davey (Davis, CA), and many cousins.
A beloved and dear mother who will always be in our hearts.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 21st at 11:00 am, at Hennessey Funeral Home, 2203 N. Division, Spokane.
