Miss Spokane, Outstanding Teen crowned Jan. 10

Mikayla Scharnhorst was crowned Miss Spokane on Jan. 10.

Scharnhorst is 20 and a senior at Whitworth University. She won a $1,000 scholarship, plus two $100 scholarships for overall high interview and Touch of Class (Director’s Award).

Romey Fox was named Miss Spokane’s Outstanding Teen.

She is 14 and home-schooled. Fox won $750, plus an additional $100 for Touch of Class (Director’s Award).

They will represent Spokane at the Miss Washington/Miss Washington Teen competition later this year.
