– The Hop Shop, which is losing its lease , blows out its final public hours today starting at 4 p.m. with beer specials and the Bite Me food truck at 5 (from original owners Andy and Glen Gardner).
UPDATES WEDNESDAY 2/24
– Bennidito’s Brewpub has released its latest single-hop pale, this one starring Chinook.
– Manito Tap House is pouring Firestone Walker’s Luponic Distortion , a new year-round IPA whose hop bill will change every 90 days.
– Bellwether’s new beers for the week are an IPA braggot brewed with blackberry honey (8.2 percent alcohol by volume) and a rye stout (6.4).
– A Ballast Point tap takeover Saturday starting at 3 p.m. at Pints Alehouse will include Tongue Buckler Imperial Red Ale, Mango Even Keel Session IPA, the Pineapple, Grapefruit and Habanero Sculpin IPAs, Homework Batch #6 Robust Porter, and the regular Victory at Sea Vanilla Coffee Imperial Porter plus three variations: Peppermint, Coconut and Peanut Butter.

– Valley Red is the weekly special at Twelve String, with $1 off pints and growler fills.
WEDNESDAY
– This week’s Wednesday small-batch release at Daft Badger is a hearty American wheat (7.9, 25).
– No-Li launches its weekly Rythm & Brews Wednesdays music series with Wyatt Wood from 6:30 to 8:30.
SATURDAY
– Total Wine presents an introductory Beer 101: The Pursuit of Hoppiness class from 3 to 5 at the North Spokane store.
