Big Idaho Potato Truck is coming to town
The Big Idaho Potato Truck will be visiting grocery stores in North Idaho and Spokane this week.
From Wednesday through Sunday, the truck – billed as “the world’s largest potato on wheels” – will visit Post Falls, Spokane, Liberty Lake and Rathdrum.
Shoppers will be asked to sign the truck’s signature board. For every signature collected, $1 –up to $500 – will be given to the North Idaho Fair & Rodeo Foundation, whose mission is to raise funds for capital improvements at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds as well as educational opportunities for local youths.
The truck features a 48-foot long flatbed trailer topped by a 28-foot long, 12-foot wide and 11.5-foot tall, 6-ton Idaho potato, the star of the Idaho Potato Commission’s national advertising campaign.
