UPDATES FRIDAY 6/24
– Orlison is celebrating Hoopfest weekend with $3 pints of its two large-batch ales, Shin Splints IPS and the new Orangelicious Golden, in the downtown taproom.
– River City has $3 pints on all beers through the weekend (get your first pint for $1 if you wear your Hoopfest jersey).
– Young Buck is pouring a barrel-aged Kriek sour cherry beer at the downtown brewery incubator’s Steel Barrel taproom.
UPDATES WEDNESDAY 6/22
– Lager specialist Orlison has released its second full-production ale, an Orangelicious Golden (5.2, 15) brewed with lactose and conditioned with vanilla and fresh orange zest; it’s on at the taproom now and starting to make its way around town.
– Black Label today tapped an Indaba Stout (6.2, 37) using the local coffee company’s Bowl & Pitcher Dark Roast. The new collaboration is a replacement for the previous Espresso Stout.
– Iron Goat is pouring a Belgian-style pale with a sweet cherry fruit addition.
UPDATES TUESDAY 6/21
– No-Li is pouring an apricot bourbon-aged Jet Star imperial IPA for today’s Brewsday Tuesday from 5:30 to 7:30.
– Slate Creek tonight taps a new small-batch Crash Pad Belgian-style dubbel (6.5 percent alcohol by volume, 22 International Bitterness Units).
– A chardonnay barrel-aged cream ale (6.9 percent ABV) will be Wednesday’s weekly small-batch offering at Daft Badger.
– Bellwether celebrates the rerelease of its Albion heather ale, and brewer Thomas Croskrey’s 35th birthday, on Thursday from 3 to 9.
A look at the upcoming week in local craft beer:
MONDAY
– Jam Session IPA is the beer of the week at Twelve String , with $1 off pints and growler fills.
FRIDAY
– Bale Breaker, No-Li, Payette and Wallace are serving for the second annual HOPFEST at Hoopfest beer garden, starting at 9 after The Alumni Game featuring former Gonzaga University players at the Spokane Convention Center; admission is $10 ($15 with game ticket).
SATURDAY
– Waddell’s has a release party from 2 to 5 for Kaniksu Gold Belgian Blonde, the winning recipe from last year’s Battle of the Homebrews , which its creators got to brew on Waddell’s commercial system.
