Spokane Chiefs forward Kailer Yamamoto scored one goal and added an assist in the CHL/NHL prospects game on Monday in Quebec City.

The 18-year-old forward scored 8:55 into the second period and also assisted on a goal from Nico Hirscher, who is projected to be the second overall pick in the NHL draft by NHL Central scouting, in the same period.

Yamamoto’s Team Orr, coached by Hall of Fame defenseman Bobby Orr, fell 7-5 to Team Cherry, coached by Don Cherry.

The CHL/NHL prospects game invites the top 40 draft eligible players to showcase their skills. Yamamoto is projected to be a first round pick in the 2017 NHL Draft.
