Coroner identifies man who died while scuba diving in Hood Canal

A man who died Sunday morning while scuba diving in Hood Canal near Lilliwaup has been identified as Patrick Jack Kokos, 70, of Yoncalla, Oregon, according to the Mason County Coroner’s Office.

Yoncalla is north of Roseburg in southern Oregon.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday (June 5).

The Mason County Sheriff’s Office is also investigating the incident.
