College volleyball: Community Colleges of Spokane wins, improves to 21-0
Joelle Mahowald had a match-best 11 kills while hitting .526 and Community Colleges of Spokane kept its perfect record intact Wednesday with a 3-0 sweep of Columbia Basin in Northwest Athletic Conference volleyball at Spokane Falls CC.
Demary Sugg added 16 assists, and Lindsey Russell had 13 assists and six aces for the Sasquatch (21-0, 2-0). Alleana Gallagher had six digs to lead six teammates with four or more.
The Hawks (2-18, 0-2) had a negative hitting percentage.
- Hailee Etter and Kayla Neumann had 10 kills apiece and North Idaho (14-6, 2-0 NWAC) hit .369 during a 25-10, 25-21, 25-16 sweep at Wenatchee Valley (9-13, 0-3).
- Rachel Gregg finished with nine kills and Gionni Brown added 14 digs to lead Lewis-Clark State (11-3) to a 3-0 sweep of Whitworth (8-4) in nonconference play in Lewiston. Jessica Schmautz had a match-high 13 kills for Whitworth and Erin White added 20 assists.
