Prep softball: Madison Koler paces Chewelah in doubleheader sweep of Kettle Falls

Northeast 2B

Chewelah 9, Kettle Falls 3: Madison Koler homered, singled and drove in two and the visiting Cougars (3-0) topped the Bulldogs (0-3) in the first game of a doubleheader on Tuesday.

Chewelah 13, Kettle Falls 1: Madison Koler doubled three times to drive in three and the visiting Cougars (4-0) downed the Bulldogs (0-4) in the second game. Erica Tindal and Baily Sobosky homered for Chewelah.

Springdale 21, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 14: Faith Goforth had four hits, scored four times and drove in six to lead the visiting Chargers (1-2) past the Broncos (1-4) in the first game of a nonleague doubleheader.

Springdale 13, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 5: In the second game, the Broncos (1-5) scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth and brought the tying run to the plate, but the teams agreed it was too dark to continue. The final score reverted back to the last completed inning after the fifth.

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 5, Inchelium 4: Gabi Isaak drove in two runs and the Warriors (5-0) held off the visiting Hornets (0-1) in the first game of a doubleheader. Sarah Bradshaw scattered three hits and struck out nine for ACH.

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 4, Inchelium 3: Oshun Parrish scored from first base on Kendel Correia’s two-out double in the first extra frame and the Warriors (6-0) slipped past the visiting Hornets (0-2) in the second game. Makenna Oliver went the distance for ACH, scattering six hits.

Northeast 1B

Northport 18, Wellpinit 2: Hailey Young pitched a complete game and hit two home runs and the Mustangs (5-0) defeated the visiting Redskins (0-3) in the first game of a doubleheader.

Northport 19, Wellpinit 3: Eliza Stark pitched a complete game and hit a double and home run and the Mustangs (6-0) defeated the visiting Redskins (0-4) in the second game. Kylie Corcoran homered and doubled for Northport.
