Boys basketball: Eckahelo Simpson scores 15 points to lead Northwest Christian over Reardan

Eckahelo Simpson scored 15 points with eight rebounds and six assists Northwest Christian eliminated Reardan 54-37 in a District 7 2B loser-out game at West Valley HS on Thursday.

Brian Mackenzie added 10 points for the Crusaders (16-7), which used a 15-5 run in the third to create separation. NWC advances to face Liberty in a district loser-out on Friday.

Zane Perleberg led Reardan (9-13) with 15 points.

Chewelah 49, Davenport 33: Jeron Baldwin scored 17 points, Nick Franks added 14 and the Cougars (12-11) eliminated the Gorillas (5-18) in a loser-out.

Chewelah faces Colfax in a loser-out on Friday. Carl Oman added 10 points for the Cougars, who held Davenport to 13 points in the second half.

William Steed led Davenport with 15 points.

District 9 1B

Oakesdale 52, Garfield-Palouse 44: Kieron Anderson scored 13 points, three others added 10 apiece and the Nighthawks (14-7) topped the Vikings (14-7) in the district title game at Colfax HS.

Oakesdale plays in a crossover against District 7 on Saturday, while Gar-Pal faces Prescott in the district second-place game on Friday.

Tanner Anderson led Gar-Pal with 13 points and Blake Jones added 11.

Prescott 68, Pomeroy 44: Jose Gonzalez scored 15 points, Miguel Ayala added 13 and the Tigers (14-6) eliminated the Pirates (8-12) in a loser-out.

Jace Gwinn led Pomeroy with 15 points and A.J. Floyd added 10.
