3. Comics Writer G. Willow Wilson, 7 p.m., Tuesday, Spokane Community College, 1810 N. Greene St. Wilson is an American comics writer, prose author, essayist, and journalist. Her first graphic novel, “Cairo,” was based in Egypt and was listed as a top graphic novel for teens by both the American Library Association and the School Library Journal. She currently writes, “Ms. Marvel,” a comic series starring a 16-year-old Muslim shapeshifter superhero named Kamala Khan. Wilson will also speak at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the SCC library. 4. Insta-Pot-Luck 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, Gizmo, 283 N. Hubbard St., Suite 142, Coeur d’Alene. Gather and share some of your favorite tips and tricks for using the Instant Pot. 5. Silver Skaters Jamboree Saturday-Sunday, Eagles Ice-A-Rena,6321 N. Addison St. Times are 2 p.m., 4:45 p.m., 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, and 7:15 and 9:15 a.m. on Sunday. The Silver Skaters is a group of women hockey skaters who are 50 and older. This Jamboree consists of 6 games. Participants are from Idaho, Montana, Canada and Washington. (509) 434-9505.
