Man dies days after Wednesday night crash in Coeur d’Alene

A man died days after a Wednesday night crash in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho State Police said Saturday morning.

A juvenile male driver struck the driver’s side of a vehicle driven by John D. Elmore, 32, of Coeur d’Alene, in the intersection of Lincoln Way and Hubbard Avenue at about 9:15 p.m., according to a news release.

Both vehicles came to rest against a building on Hubbard Avenue.

Elmore died after being transported to Kootenai Health in critical condition, according to a news release. He was wearing a seat belt.

Police are investigating speed and impairment as factors in the crash, according to a news release.
