Woman faces DUI after Spokane Valley crash
A woman faces a charge of driving under the influence after a crash in Spokane Valley late Sunday night.
Just before 10 p.m. Sunday, a Ford F-250 pickup driven by Pamela K. Grinnell, 52, was heading west on Eighth Avenue when it failed to stop at state Highway 27, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The pickup was hit by a 2008 Hyundai Elantra car traveling south on Highway 27. The pickup hit a stop sign and a tree and then pushed the tree into nearby parked cars, WSP said.
Grinnell was charged with driving under the influence and transported to Spokane Valley Hospital where she was treated and released.
Joseph M. Gore, 61, who was driving the Hyundai, was transported to Spokane Valley Hospital where he also was treated and released.
