Michigan woman killed on Highway 2

A three-car crash on Highway 2 north of Spokane killed a Michigan woman Wednesday afternoon. Margaret J. Brabant, 69, of Sault Sainte Marie, died when the 1998 Toyota Camry she was riding in collided with a 1995 Nissan Altima, then struck a 2001 Dodge Stratus, according to Washington State Patrol.

Saner’s problems spiraled from typical to debilitating as he dabbled more in the OxyContin drug world, leading to a string of pharmacy robberies last summer, his lawyer said. “When I was under the influence of the drug, it’s just really that I wasn’t myself,” Saner, a 24-year-old with no prior criminal record, said Tuesday in Spokane County Superior Court. “Consequence wasn’t something that was relevant to me that that time.”

Suspects in carjacking, fatal crash identified

The second suspect in a carjacking this morning that led to the death of a woman has been identified as Michael L. Olson, 30. He is wanted for first-degree robbery and first-degree assault, according to the Spokane County Sheriff's Office.
