Rep. Paulette Jordan to take next week off to campaign for governor
State Rep. Paulette Jordan, D-Plummer, will take next week off from the Legislature to campaign for governor, the Lewiston Tribune reports; she intends to bring in a substitute to cover for her for the week, so no votes will be missed.
"This will allow me to meet with folks in southern Idaho," Jordan told the Tribune. "I'll still be working with my substitute while I'm gone."
She still had some details to work out, so she declined to say who the substitute will be.
Jordan announced her run for governor in December. She'll face Boise businessman A.J. Balukoff in the May 15 gubernatorial primary. Balukoff kicked off his official campaign with a statewide tour last week.
