World Mag’s Comment on Groene Case

Shasta Groene, an 8-year-old Idaho girl recently recovered from the clutches of kidnapper Joseph Edward Duncan III, has told authorities that Duncan repeatedly molested both her and her 9-year-old brother Dylan who is now believed dead. Duncan is also the likely killer of Shasta’s mother, another older brother, and her mother’s boyfriend. Duncan had previously spent more than a decade in prison for molesting a 14-year-old boy at gunpoint and was recently charged with molesting a 6-year-old boy in Minnesota but released on $15,000 bail. The Department of Justice estimates that convicted child molesters re-offend an average of 16 times while on probation – and yet the legal system continues to release them.

DFO: This was just posted at the World magazine Web site here.

Feedback: I find it interesting that our government has kept better track of Martha Stewart than they did of Duncan and so many other dangerous predators. Their crimes don't even compare and this monster got let out on just $15,000 bail. That is pretty sad to say the least -- ErinG.
