I recently put a CD together of songs for our son in the Army that have to do with his "new home" in El Paso, Texas (at least until he ships out later this month to that other place). It's amazing how many songs come up in the Napster database that have the word "Texas" somewhere in the title--way, way more than those that have "Idaho" in the title. Anyway, I came across many old favorites and a few new ones including one that I would absolutely nominate for the Bush '08 re-election theme song if he were eligible to run again. I know there was a lot of hubbub (even on HBO as I recall) when the challenge went out to pick an appropriate campaign song for Hillary. So I figure turnabout is fair play. My choice is by Ray Wylie Hubbard and is entitled, "Screw you, we're from Texas."
