Neighbors Want Protection From Abuse Suspect

A no-contact order prohibits Christina Haynes from seeing her children, but neighbors say they want orders keeping Ms. Haynes away from them as well. Ms. Haynes, who is charged with child abuse and aggravated battery on her 3-year-old daughter, was released from jail last week. Keith Mabbutt and his wife, Norma, said they will likely be called as witnesses if the case goes to trial. The Mabbutts were among neighbors and acquaintances of Ms. Haynes and Charles Smith who say they reported what they construed as child abuse by the couple to Health and Welfare officials. They want an order prohibiting Ms. Haynes from calling or talking to them/Ralph Bartholdt, St. Maries Gazette-Record. More here.
