"There's actually beauty in the entire cycle of life there at Higgens Point," e-mails Kerri Thoreson/OnLocation North Idaho. "The salmon weaken and die after spawning and fight the inevitable with determination. So at the shoreline you will see them spiraling in the shallow water, ironically making themselves more visible to the hunting eagles overhead.
