More Info: During the last two years of her husband’s life, through his memorial service and even in the years after his death, Kottke received support from a group known as an HIV/AIDS CareTeam. About 10 people from area churches volunteered to be part of her life – they brought meals to her family, tutored her son, celebrated their birthdays. Most of all, they were there to listen, to talk, to provide a sense of community.
