I did talk to the woman who voted absentee during the 2009 Coeur d'Alene municipal elections, only to learn that recently a private investigator showed up looking for her at her old apartment. She had moved from the apartment complex in December. And her former manager gave her a head's up about the visit. Later, she found out that the visit was tied to challenger Jim Brannon's lawsuit. "Am I being investigated because I filled out an absentee ballot?" she asked rhetorically. The woman asked a high-profile attorney friend in town to contact the P.I. and hasn't been bothered since. Such is the way things are in Coeur d'Alene in this year of the Lord 2010. Now, to replay the Wild Card ...
