Election Day Thread/PM — 11.2.10

On the northeast corner of Appleway & H95 moments ago, Commissioner Rick Currie, a write-in candidate, holds his sign alongside a guy with a sign that reads: "Support Obama, Vote Minnick."

  • 4:48 p.m. A Berry Picker just called to say Commissioner Rick Currie is back on the n/e corner of Appleway & H95 (Walgreens corner), holding a sign. And that the guy with the "Support Obama, Vote Minnick" sign is standing by him.
  • 4:09 p.m. Bond Girl: "I just voted in Post Falls at the Lutheran Church and was number 190….yeah!!!"
  • 3:22 p.m. Otis G: "Against my better judgment, I just voted at the Post Falls National Guard Armory. The typical friendly (and slow) senior volunteers were there. The line got a little frustrated when a woman stopped things up by asking if she could vote again, even though she sent in an absentee ballot."
  • 3:01 p.m. Colleague Greg Lee tells me that he wrote my name in for lieutenant governor.
  • 2:12 p.m. A Berry Picker: Fedora's sent over hamburgers & bottled waters to the people holding signs @ i/s of I-90 & H95. But the crowded corner had dwindled to that guy with the Obama-Minnick sign & one other. Berry Picker sez burger was delicious.
  • 1:47 p.m. Stacy: "Lunchtime voting in Post Falls was busy. There was one small hiccup when a couple arrived with absentee ballots they wanted to return for disqualification in exchange for new ballots. The poll worker did not want to take their absentee ballots initially, but agreed when the couple argued the registrar’s office had instructed them to take them there to be destroyed."
  • 1:37 p.m. Scootermom: "Voted just before noon in Boise's district 14. ... Had to wait in a short line. Very busy, most voters seemed to be, how shall we say, mature. School bake sale on the way out the door. Bought a loaf of pumpkin bread."
