Another Look At Pedersen

"He (Bob Pedersen of Rally Right) wanted to be a RINO hunter, but he thought everybody was a RINO," said Jeff Ward, co-founder of the Kootenai County Reagan Republicans, a political group with its own large following that dismisses Pedersen and Rally Right. "It turned out anyone who didn't kiss his ring was a liberal." Coeur d'Alene Press story here. (Duane Rasmussen file photo of Pedersen during protest by United Conservatives of North Idaho at Kootenai County Courthouse last year)

DFO: Yeah, I know that Cindy published this Sunday Press story in Monday's main thread. But the story fascinates me. First, Pedersen has maneuvered behind the Rally Right scene for some time now. Secondly, there's no love lost between the Reagan Republican leaders and him. Thirdly, I've tried to figure out which of these two right-wing groups has had a greater impact on the local scene -- Pedersen's (which might have control of the GOP CC) or the Reagan Republicans (which has had a big impact on nonpartisan local elections). What do you think?

Question: Which Hard Right group has had a greater impact on Kootenai County politics -- Rally Right/United Conservatives of North Idaho or Reagan Republicans?
