Why Legislators Ignore Will Of People

At the Blue Review, Brian Wampler provides 5 reasons why GOP legislative insiders are defying the will of the people in an attempt to resurrect the rejected Luna Laws, including:

Collective Action. It is very difficult to maintain a social movement. People get tired, their lives get busy, they move on to other activities. By introducing these bills, the Republican leadership is working under the premise that parents who volunteered time last year to reject the “Luna Laws” are less likely to mobilize this year. The time and energy cost of re-introducing the legislation is much lower than organizing opposition to those pieces of legislation. Teacher unions funded much of the collective action in 2012, which means that if the Republican Party’s strategy is correct, there will be a weaker response. More here.

Question: Are the three legislators from your district part of the problem or part of the solutions re: arrogant legislative leaders ignoring the will of the people when it comes to the Luna Laws?
