Deer Poachings Bring Reward Offer

The Humane Society of the United States and The Humane Society Wildlife Land Trust are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for illegally shooting five deer, three of whom were does carrying fawns. This reward adds to an existing reward provided by Citizens Against Poaching. According to the Idaho Department of Fish and Game, two deer were found shot on Feb. 14 near 6th Street and Hanley Avenue in Dalton Gardens. On Feb. 15, three more were found near 16th Street and Wilbur Avenue and at Snowberry Street near Hanley Avenue. Three deer had been found shot in the same area between Feb. 7 and Feb. 9. The perpetrator used a small caliber weapon was used in each instance and. Authorities believe that the deer were shot late at night or early in the morning/Humane Society of the United States news release. More here.
